Most failed missions come down to poor preparation, not poor skill. Before starting any mission, check your loadout, healing items, and character level against the mission’s suggested difficulty — many games quietly flag recommended stats if you check the mission board carefully. Save often, especially before optional objectives or branching choices, so a bad decision doesn’t cost you thirty minutes of replay.
Read mission briefings fully. Objectives often hide secondary conditions — a stealth bonus, a time limit, or an item you need to bring — that aren’t obvious from the minimap alone. Scout the area before engaging if the game allows free movement; knowing enemy positions and cover options ahead of time turns a chaotic firefight into a manageable one.
Finally, don’t be afraid to grind a side activity or two if a mission keeps beating you. A slightly higher level or a smarter weapon load-out often solves a problem that “better skill” alone won’t fix quickly.
